Universities and Colleges
- Ohio University Southern Campus
- Ohio University Southern Campus (OUSC), Ironton, has an enrollment of more than 3,000. It offers 11 associate degrees and 10 bachelor’s degrees. There are also numerous distance learning classes conducted between OUSC and Ohio University in Athens.
- Ashland Community and Technical College
- ACTC is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, and provides many two-year degrees for transfer to four-year institutions or advancement in professional life.

- Workforce Development Resource Center
- The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) provides employment assistance and new career development, and assists employers in finding qualified applicants.
