Participate

MEMBERSHIP requires involvement in some aspect of the program and attendance at the monthly general meeting and/or committee meetings. Anyone who meets these requirements can vote. There are no dues. The general meeting is held on the second Tuesday of the month.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Board includes the officers and committee chairpersons. Board members are nominated by a nominating committee and voted upon by the membership in November. They are elected for one (1) year. The Board of Directors selects the officers of Ironton in Bloom (Co-Chairpersons, Secretary, and Treasurer) for a one year term. The Board of Directors can make any decisions required that cannot wait for a general meeting to be handled. The Board of Directors meets the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Meetings

The General Meeting is held on the second (2nd) Tuesday of the month. The meetings are held in the City Center on the corner of 3rd Street and Vernon Street at 5:30 PM. Announcements of any change will be published in the IrontonTribune.

Affiliation with America in Bloom

Ironton in Bloom is a member of America in Bloom with a similar mission, vision, and goals. We participate in the national judging of communities with similar populations. Two judges come to Ironton for two days in June/July and assess our accomplishments in each of the eight (8) criteria. A National Convention is held in early October where winners are announced and educational programs are provided.
